Four years ago the Jaipur Literature Festival was a small and mainly local event, held under the auspices of the Jaipur Virasat Foundation. Today it is one of the leading literature festivals in the world, certainly the largest in Asia, and is rapidly acquiring an international profile. Held at Jaipur’s atmospheric Diggy Palace Hotel, the festival now spills over into at least four simultaneous venues in different parts of Diggy, and each is full to overflowing.
