In the past few months, there has been brouhaha in Maharashtra about school textbooks. It all began, when the Maharashtra Government floated tenders for printing and publishing of textbooks. This, according to the Maharashtra Textbook and Binders Association was done to benefit a handful of big offset printers. According to Anand Limaye, President of Mumbai Mudrak Sangh, several small printers will have to close shop, in addition to students having to pay higher prices for the textbooks. ...cont´d
