Jumaa al-Qubaisi is director of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair and director of the National Library, Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage. After graduating with a BA in English and Media in 1988, al-Qubaisi joined Abu Dhabi’s Cultural Foundation, which promotes Arabic and Islamic cultural heritage and the arts. There he became Head of the Higher Committee of the Abu Dhabi Book Fair and took on the responsibility of the National Library, which is open to both the public and to scholars, and today contains some 4,000 Arabic manuscripts and 1.5 million books. ...cont´d
