The world’s largest printing company, RR Donnelley (2007 sales turnover US$ 9 billion or <SPAN class=WebRupee>Rs.</SPAN>44,518 crore), has submitted a formal indication of interest to acquire all or substantially all of the assets and properties of its bankrupt competitor Quebecor World Inc (2007 sales turnover US$ 7 billion or <SPAN class=WebRupee>Rs.</SPAN>34,625 crore), for close to US$ 1.4 billion. Quebecor has operated under the Canadian bankruptcy protection law since last January, while filing plans to restructure both in Canada and the USA.
