Maharasthra Times begins Pune edition

Colourful fight among Marathi dailies

Maharasthra Times, the Marathi daily of the Bennett Coleman Group, with editions in Mumbai, Thane, Nagpur and Nasik, began its Pune edition on January 7. With ambitious plans, the newspaper expects to achieve a circulation of two to three lakhs quickly. The 26-page full-colour edition is clearly challenging Aurangabad based Lokmat, Pune based Sakal and Kolahpur based Pudhari as the Maratha newspaper wars gain more heat and colour pages. ...cont´d
