Preparations for the mega world event of the print and media industry -- drupa 2012--have begun in right ernest, something the organisers of Commonwealth Games in India who incredulously overshot every possible deadline in preparing for the event, should take a lesson from. With the registration deadline of October 31, 2010, drawing nearer, organisers Messe Düsseldorf are happy with the response. "Fortunately the changes in the industry are not reflected in the registration behaviour of the international supplier industry to the print and media industry. The global players are counting more than ever on drupa – some of them have even booked more exhibition space than for the last event. In addition there is a significant increase in demand from the ASEAN region," states drupa director Manuel Mataré, summarizing the results so far.
