When Apple launched iPad, it opened up a fascinating and exciting medium for news publishers. At the same breadth, there was the challenge of getting the best out of this new medium. Different news publishers adopted different presentation strategies and methods to win audience in this new medium. In India, Mint was one of the first dailies to experiment with iPad. Abel Robinson, who heads design for Mint, the business daily from Hindustan Times, realised after a couple of not so satisfying attempts that the only way to give real life to this exciting new medium was to trash all the traditional approaches and look at it afresh. ...cont´d
