Alongside strong delegations from China, North America, Russia, Italy, Brasil and Spain, the more than 50 exhibitors from India have recorded high visitor numbers and multiple business contacts prospecting purchase and investment opportunities. Interpack's 50th edition is occupying all of Dusseldorf Messe's 19 halls from April 24 to 30. Its main emphasis is on shelf ready packaging (SRP) highlighted at theme-oriented collective pavillions at the show's Innovation Parc Packaging. Participants in the pavillions include, among others, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen, MAN Roland, Esko Graphics, Metro, M-Real, Siegwerk, Smurfit-Kappa and COPACO.
Products on display reflect the industry's major trends such as the increased use of robots, software integration, RFID, bioplastics, waste reduction, recycling and energy saving technologies. The Indian participants are particularly strong in material supplies, from polyethylene and aluminium for flexible packaging to various bottling and sealing applications for the food and beverage industries. Visitor numbers at the fair appear to be up across the board, and the general atmosphere is one of sizzling business appointments. We'll continue to keep you in the picture from the world's largest packaging and processing exhibition.
