Xanté completes acquisitions of RIPit and Exxtra Imaging

Mobile, Alabama based Xanté announced on April 24, 2007 completion of its acquisitions of RIPit Imaging Systems, Inc. based Mobile, Alabama based Xanté announced on April 24, 2007 completion of its acquisitions of RIPit Imaging Systems, Inc.  based in Sacramento, California and Exxtra Imaging Systems, Inc. based in Hauppauge, New York. The acquisitions expand Xanté product offerings to print businesses in over 100 countries, with a comprehensive portfolio and a significantly larger field sales and service network.

The wider Xanté product line encompasses proven chemical and process-free CtP, including violet metal and polyester solutions; the award- winning OpenRIP Symphony workflow, and digital print output. Management of the company now includes executives from Xanté, RIPit and Exxtra. Robert C. Ross, Jr. continues as President and CEO. Wayne G. Wasulko of RIPit has joined Xanté as VP of RIP Development. Michael R. Sterflinger of Exxtra has joined Xanté as VP of Technology. RIPit and Exxtra, now wholly owned Xanté subsidiaries, will maintain operations at their existing locations.

Xanté's product line includes chemical and process-free metal and polyester computer-to-plate imaging devices including the popular Impressia and PlateMaker lines; high resolution digital colour presses including Ilumina; large format violet metal plate and polyester imaging systems such as the best-selling VM4 SpeedSetter; and the award-winning OpenRIP Symphony workflow software, based on an Adobe PostScript 3 RIP and one of the first workflows to support the Adobe PDF Print Engine. OpenRIP Symphony allows every device in the print shop -- including platesetters, imagesetters, laser printers, digital copiers, inkjet printers and plotters -- to be controlled from a single RIP for true workflow consistency.
