The most important printing exhibition in South Korea takes place in Goyang, which is right next to Seoul and connected to it by a subway line. The KIPES show will take place from 25 to 28 September and will include amongst its 330 exhibitors not only leading brands from around the world but also many outstanding Korean suppliers of equipment and consumables. As many of our readers know, Korean manufacturers are well-known for flexible packaging films, signage media, coated paper and newsprint, as well as high-technology equipment including CtPs and ultra-wide ink jet printers.
KIPES exhibition 2006, Goyang, Seoul, South Korea
This is the sixteenth KIPES show and 2008 will mark the thirtieth anniversary of the first exhibition. The exhibitors from 30 countries will take up almost 22,000 square meters of space -- considerably larger than our own Printpack in terms of carpet size.
KIPES has been an important bridge between Korean printers and equipment and consumable manufacturers and the global market. Although at one time the 90 per cent of the Korean print related market was dominated by imports, this has changed in recent years. Korean technology innovation has brought many new products to the market and the show itself attracts international technology leaders. Thus the show is a good opportunity to see and meet Korean, Asian and international manufacturers and suppliers.
The KIPES show balances segmented categories across the entire printing industry as it includes press, pre-press, bookbinding, paper process, packaging, labels, screen-printing, and e-publishing. The KIPES show has a conference, which is the educational program for high-level perspectives and insights on emerging trends. The KIPES Show will be open daily between 10am and 5pm and details are available at www.kipes.com and online registration will be available from early July for visitors. |
