The Columbia Turbo was first launched in 2004 and has set the standard in performance with display print firms worldwide ever since.
The additional features added to the Columbia Turbo, and demonstrated at FESPA on the Fujifilm Sericol booth (Hall 1.2 Booth A210), include a mid-speed print mode that delivers increased throughput whilst delivering a high quality print at speeds of up to 97 sqm/hr (1044 sq ft/hr).
This new version Columbia provides users with a solution that fits nicely between the existing low pass/ high-speed and high pass/high quality modes, adding more than 20% speed increase to mid speed production modes. All the new features are available as upgrades to Columbia Turbo customers allowing them to select the most appropriate performance level to suit their business.
The Columbia Turbo prints on rigid or flexible substrates up to 40mm (1.57in) thick at speeds of up to 160sqm/hr. With a maximum sheet size of 1.6 x 3.2m it will consistently produce at a throughput of up to 27 full bed sheets per hour (allowing for handling time). The economical performance of the Columbia Turbo makes it ideal for a wide range of applications including large format advertising, signage and exhibition materials.
The Columbia Turbo on display at FESPA features new dedicated Inca software that simplifies double sided printing or jobs featuring multiple files by automatically linking separate files, including files featuring different print modes. As a result the operator can handle these jobs easily, quickly and accurately producing high quality results with the minimum possible substrate waste.
At FESPA, Fujifilm Sericol would also launch several new primary colours developed specifically for Inca printers. The result is a unique range of Uvijet inks that provides the widest colour gamut and the highest quality on a broad range of substrates. This latest generation of inks developed for demanding industrial applications is highly flexible and offers end users greater elasticity, improved adhesion, routing and cutting performance.
The versatile Inca Spyder 320 Q Fine Quality (also launched at FESPA) and the enhanced Columbia Turbo models are printing a range of products throughout the event demonstrating their versatility and ease of use.
Information, samples and a video of the Inca Onset, the world's fastest digital flatbed printer launched 5 weeks ago, will also be available throughout the show.
