British newspaper The Times launched its International Edition in the Middle East with a high-profile function in Bahrain this week. A launch party was held at the Inter Continental Regency Bahrain, Hotel, where The Times Saturday editor George Brock - who is also president of the World Editors Forum - made a speech predicting the paper would prove a hit in Bahrain's competitive newspaper market.
