WIFAG signs up NBG Machinery for Indian sales

On 12 August 2008, WIFAG has announced that it has reached an agreement with NBG to collaborate as intermediary of WIFAG for double width newspaper presses in the India territory. WIFAG is a hundred year old printing press manufacturer with headquarters in Berne, Switzerland and is global supplier of high-end double and triple-width, double and single circumference offset newspaper presses.

WIFAG has been active in the Indian newspaper market since the 1960’s and has sold presses to daily newspapers such as The Hindu, The Tribune, The Hindustan Times, Kumudam and The Statesman. It has a very impressive order from the ABP group that was signed more than year ago and which is awaiting the construction of ABP’s new plant in Kolkatta. ABP publishes the publishes the Bengali daily Ananda Bazar Patrika and the English daily The Telegraph, has ordered twelve Wifag OF 370S towers with 96 double circumference printing couples. This shipment is scheduled for the end of 2008.

NBG is one of numerous single width single circumference web offset manufacturers located in the New Delhi capital region with its factory nearby at Ballabgarh in Haryana. NBG founded in 1990 and certified ISO 9001 in 2001 is also an exporter of presses.
