Bhaskar Digital Studios installs first Indigo in Andhra Pradesh

Bhaskar Digital Studios became the first print service provider in Andhra Pradesh to install the HP Indigo Digital Press 3050 in Vijaywada with an investment of Rs. 2.2 crore. Bhaskar Digital Studios plans to leverage its leading position in the digital imaging industry by offering commercial digital offset printing services. With this installation, HP completes 48 installations of its Indigo machines in India.

We asked Raghu Chaitanya, Managing Partner, Bhaskar Digital Studios why he bought a digital press, “We are basically from the photography field and our major customers are from the field, but we are serving advertisement agencies as well. We had started our company in 1978 and currently we have many digital printers like Fuji 550, 370 and 7500; Epsilon Plus; Noritsu 3202. This is the first time that we have purchased a very high end machine which has cost us more than Rs. 2 crore.”

He added, “We have purchased the digital press in view of its high capability for variable printing and its high quality outputs. The present market trends have also ignited our move towards purchasing the Indigo digital press.”

With the boom in digital printing, Bhaskar Digital Studios is poised to exploit the new opportunities in this business as well as new businesses that are opening up in Andhra Pradesh. Capable of printing over 4000 A4 colour sheets and 16000 black and white sheets an hour, the HP Indigo Digital Press 3050 can also create a variety of solutions by being linked with a wide range of data including digital databases.
