We live in an era where the world is a village and boundaries have no meaning. For us, creators of content, this means an explosion of opportunities. Audiences come from any part of the world. New content delivery mediums fuel new forms of content; changing social values prod us towards new themes for our stories. Numbers and data map our choices, yet the future remains uncharted. Where are we going? This is the aim for JUMPSTART 2018, India’s only congress for children’s content creators.

On the 10th anniversary of JUMPSTART, publishers, authors, digital evangelists, edupreneurs, parents, teachers, librarians and exponents of kids media will come together to peep into the minds of the digital generation.

Organized by the German Book Office New Delhi, which is the South Asia node of the Frankfurt Book Fair, JUMPSTART was founded with the objective of building an exchange platform for the creative community and facilitate capacity development in the children’s content space. Since its inception JUMPSTART has completed 9 editions with over 181 speakers from 13 countries and over 20 industries, and has conducted 29 masterclasses on various topics, establishing itself as the space for creative ideation and collaboration.

The show will be held in November 2018 in two phases at two locations, Mumbai and New Delhi. The Mumbai edition of JUMPSTART 2018 (27 and 28 November 2018) will take place in collaboration with and at the Goethe Institut / Max Mueller Bhavan Mumbai, India. On Day 1, Prashasti Rastogi, director, GBO New Delhi will start the program with a welcome note. The show will throw light on different aspects such as the rise of audiobooks, rights and licensing, and internet adventures.

On Day two at Goethe Institut Mumbai, there will be three masterclasses for illustrators, writers and young adults.
